Catherine Bronson

Catherine (Cassie) Bronson is a partner at the firm. Ms. Bronson currently serves as the City Attorney to the City of Santa Cruz and has the distinct honor of being the City’s first female City Attorney. In addition to her extensive knowledge and experience in municipal law, Ms. Bronson also advises clients on civil litigation, employment law and public law issues.

Ms. Bronson is a graduate of U.C. Hastings College of the Law and U.C. Santa Barbara. During law school, she held clerkships with a variety of non-profit, for-profit, and governmental entities, including Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger LLP, CafePress.com, and the California Attorney General’s Office.

After law school, Ms. Bronson moved to Santa Cruz and worked as a law clerk with the Santa Cruz County Superior Court. Before she joined the firm, Ms. Bronson spent three years as an associate at Kennedy, Archer & Giffen in Monterey, where she gained significant civil litigation, municipal law, and employment law experience.

Ms. Bronson is currently a member of the Santa Cruz County Women Lawyers Association. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Advocates, a subsection of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association and on the Board of Directors for the Monterey County Women Lawyers Association.
